Collecting supplies for children in orphanages

We will be visiting a few orphanages while in Ethiopia. We are collecting supplies that they currently need:

For Babies:

Hand Sanitizer

Borax (to keep away roaches)

Roach motels (don't know if they work here, but its worth a try)

A&D Ointment



For older kids:

soccer balls

soft juggling balls

hacky sacks

toothbrushes

small toothpastes

envelopes

And anything else you would like to donate - underwear and gently used clothes, etc.

We will be traveling in January, yes next month! We just don't have exact dates.

PASSED COURT!!!!!!!!!!!

YEAH! We passed court!
We heard the week before we had a court date, we were shocked it was in a week and then we passed! We are SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!
Ribka is officially our daughter! We can't wait to bring her home:) She is about 7 months now.
We will be traveling in January but don't have an official date yet. We are waiting till we get an appointment at the US embassy in EThiopia and then we will be able to set up travel plans.
We don't have a lot of pictures, hopefully we get more soon.

court news

We are hearing that courts will open on October 12 or 13th in Ethiopia. I'm SO excited! After courts open we should get a court date. The bad thing is when courts close there is a big back up in cases causing more waiting:(
We found out our baby has chicken pox which is hard to hear when you know she's in an orphanage.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!

YES WE HAVE A BABY GIRL! We are so excited! She is beautiful, we can't stop looking at her picture. She is 4 months old and very small.

Please pray for her health and that she continues to gain weight.

It will be a while till we can go and get her -- probably January or later:( We are praying it will be sooner but doubt it due the way the court system in Ethiopia works.
Now we wait for a court date but since the Ethiopian courts are currently closed until the end of October we will not hear anything prior to then.
